I was raised in Ottawa and I enjoy giving back to the community. My passion for helping people inspired my desire to become involved in the fundraising industry. I am currently a mature student at Algonquin College in the Event Management Graduate Program. I have a degree in Computerized Business Management with 7 years of experience in this field. I enjoy the creative aspect of event planning and look forward to making memorable events.

Born and raised in the capital city of China, Beijing, I came to Canada six years ago to pursue post-secondary education. I graduated from Carleton University with a B.A. Combined Honours degree in Communication Studies and Psychology, with a minor in Film Studies. I enjoy the excitement of meeting new people and I believe there are no strangers, only friends I haven’t met. My passion for special events comes from the enjoyment I get from networking and meeting new people. I chose a career in special events to satisfy my desire to transform dreams and memories into reality.

My name is Nicole Khalil, my ethnicity is of Italian, Greek and Lebanese descent. I have over 6 years experience in fine dining Italian cuisine. My passion is traveling to European countries, along with a passion for European foods. I believe that eating together is one of the best social bonding activities that brings people together and creates long lasting relationships. I hope to achieve this type of nostalgia with this event!

After moving back to Ottawa after doing my undergrad at UBC in Vancouver, I found myself looking for a program that would allow me to ulitlize my experience and education; which brought me to the Event Management Program here at Algonquin College. I feel priviledged to have had the education and travelling experiences I have, and look forward to moving forward in this new field where I can give back to the community.

My name is Ayat Joudeh. I’m currently a full time student at Algonquin College studying Event Management. I recently graduated from Carleton University with a Communication Studies degree. I am originally Palestinian, however was born in Brooklyn, New York and currently live in Ottawa. I have volunteered and helped plan events in the past, such as galas, fundraisers, and festivals. Considering my background in Communication Studies, my main asset in the event management world would be Marketing.
